From time to time, customers find that the cost of having a computer fixed just isn’t feasible especially when it comes to having a motherboard replaced.
Replacing a motherboard on a laptop can run up a bill of over $350.00 very easily. So, I will set the broken system aside and as I get free time, I source out replacement parts and rebuild the whole computer. I might make $50 on each system for my time or just break even.
Others computer systems and laptops may be off-lease, bought at wholesale, and refurbished.
This is my effort to keep another piece of electronic equipment out of the landfill. Whatever parts are no longer useful are shipped out to a big company that has the resources to recycle everything in an earth friendly way.
I make every effort to list everything that was wrong with the computer and what was done to fix it. They will come with a 30 day warranty against defective parts unless otherwise stated. Laptop batteries are not included in any warranty. I always make sure the battery is not defective and holds a charge before selling a laptop.
